Hair Removal - What are Your Options

Many men are interested in back hair removal as unwanted body hair on the back can result in lack of confidence and embarrassment.

Back hair removal can be difficult to perform by oneself unless one uses special razor tools which have recently come on the market.

There are three main options. Two require the help of a partner or a professional and one can be done alone with a little practice.

Shaving

These methods take out the hair out by the root so you don't need to worry again for another 3 to 8 weeks, depending on rate of hair growth and texture of hair which of course varies from person to person.

Again caution has to be exercised to avoid ingrown hairs. If waxing or sugaring is not done properly the hair can break instead of being pulled out by the root. The broken hair can then grow into surrounding tissue causing painful ingrown hairs.

It is therefore important that waxing or sugaring the back areas be done by someone with experience, who can pull the waxing or sugaring strip off sharply in one movement taking the hair out cleanly by the roots.

As a side note, pressing the area firmly with the hand for a few seconds right after the strip is pulled can greatly reduce the discomfort from protesting nerve endings! Additionally, rubbing the skin with an ice cube can reduce inflammation or irritation.

While waxing is a popular method of back hair removal, sugaring has certain advantages. For one thing, the sugaring paste adheres only to the hair, not the skin as with waxing, thus reducing the discomfort. Also sugar pastes are water based making them easier to clean off than waxing solutions which are petroleum based.

Laser Or Electrolysis

Many regard laser and electrolysis as the only really permanent solutions. Even then there may be some stray hair growth and results vary according to the individual.

As the costs are much higher than other back hair removal methods, it is important to have a thorough consultation first with a licensed practitioner and even have a test area treated.

At one time laser was only effective with persons who had darker hair on lighter skin. Nowadays though, certain laser devices are available that can treat all skin and hair types. A consultation is important to establish how effective the treatment is likely to be in any particular case.

Zinc Supplement

Have the ads for zinc supplements left out some vital information? Many do not list the ranges of safe supplementation as outlined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Folic acid is water soluble and found in beans, peas, green leafy veggies, meats and some fruits. You can also get folic acid or folate in fortied cereals.

Folic acid is needed in the body for DNA synthesis thus allowing cells to replicate normally. Also folic acid is needed for the body to make something called SAMe or S-adenosyl-L-methionine a coenzyme which contributes to your mood. Folic acid is commonly suggested for women who are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant because it can prevent birth defects of various kinds including neural tube defects, limb defects, and cleft palate, or cleft lips.

Folic acid is not a stand in for B12 though and will not correct other problems that develop as a result of B12 deficiency.

The recommended daily allowance for folic acid is four hundred micrograms. If you are pregnant or could become pregnant you should take between six hundred to eight hundred mcg. If you are lactating you may take up to one thousand mcg of folic acid. Do consult with your doctor about the proper dosage of folic acid to take.

Avoid Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are not for women only. They affect many teenagers and body builders. What are stretch marks? The fine lines that change in color over a time and appear on different parts of body generally after pregnancy or after sudden weight increase are Stretch marks.

Skin care and stretch marks formation-

Stretch marks do not form only because the skin stretches during certain periods. Let us look at this carefully. Most of the women believe that they get stretch marks because of their body expanding during pregnancy. This is true, but please note that the marks that you see in your skin get formed when the skin does not stretch and therefore tears. This not stretching of skin is believed to be because of certain hormones. These hormones do not allow the dermis to make more collagen and elastin. If the skin had made enough collagen and elastin to support the stretching, no marks would have appeared. This hormone called glucocorticoids is responsible for formation of stretch marks.

A Sensual Foot Massage

So, I am writing this to all you ladies from the comfort of my bubble bath. Yes, it is after noon and it is a working day, but sometimes a girl has to take a load off and soak her toes in a nice rose petal bath. It’s a Monday anyway, it has been a rough weekend, and they have the rest of the week to feast their eyes on me at the office. I’ve never thought that guys notice much beyond a girl’s face, chest, and posterior, but I’ve purchased some sensible, yet risqué shoes. Even my ‘main man’ has become a bit intrigued in my feet. Last night, during foreplay, he attempted to arouse me with a foot massage. I’ve had better (lets keep that between us girls), but I’ve also had the benefit of a former partner having a bit of a ‘foot fetish’ and apparently he had read up on the ins and outs of the foot massage. Perhaps you can share this with someone for selfless, or dare I say it, selfish purposes.

The actual art or study in the area of foot massage is called ‘reflexology’. Foot enthusiasts should look more into this buzz word it that piques your interest, for I am just a naughty novice. Now, it wouldn’t be fun if we didn’t have some supplies or toys, so let us discuss this first. I suggest getting two or three big towels and a form of lubricant. Richer creams will work better on tough calluses and hardened skin than just your everyday hand lotion or oil (but they can work also). Eucalyptus or minted scented lotion is wonderful for sending a revitalizing sensation to tired or stale feet. To refresh your feet, try getting some tree oil, which is a natural disinfectant. Foot creams can be located at your local spas, health food stores, or massage supply house. Again, hand lotion or baby oil can be used but are not as effective, so they will need to be applied more often (maybe that isn’t such a bad thing).

If ‘working’ with a ‘friend’, have their knee and foot supported while you work on them. The ‘giver’ should be on the floor (how scandalous) or on a small stool in front. To begin, soak your feet in a warm water with a cup of Epsom salts to serve as ‘foreplay’ (make sure you dry your piggies thoroughly). We are going to start out slow… and work our way into it… so gently begin to massage one foot then the other. Massage your cream or oil gently into the whole foot, top to bottom, toes to ankle. End this with strokes going from the toes to the ankles.

Now we get deeper into it… Put both hands around the feet with your fingers on the bottom and your thumbs ‘on top’. Massage your thumbs between the tendons smooth and firm from the ankle to the toes. You want to do it with long strokes rather than short ones (do I need to even mention). You want to use just the right amount of pressure not too soft, yet not too hard (just right- right ladies).

Let us now move on to the soles of the feet. Using your thumbs, make circular motions that encompass the entire surface of the bottom of the foot, moving from the base of the toes toward the heel. Keep the pressure steady and even (get a bit rough at the heels). Continue with firmer pressure and go back over the entire surface of the sole. If there is a particular area of interest or ‘hot spot’, give a few extra strokes to this area (why not).

Massage the toes with gentle, circular motions, using a bit of a stretch while rubbing. Then start rotating each one (they all need equal love and attention you know). Grip all the toes together holding them with the thumb underneath and all your fingers on top. Rotate three times in one direction then do the same in the reverse direction. Now do each toe individually rotating to one side then the other. If your hands are getting too excited, shake them a little to relieve tension (you don’t want to stop now).

Twist the foot by rotating both hands around it, each one going in opposite directions. It is integral to use a good amount of cream at this stage to keep the euphoria going. We are third and coming home at this point. Repeat the all-over massage you did to begin this erotic experience. Remember to keep the pressure of your strokes moving from the toes toward the ankle. Continue to work up around the ankle and in all the crevices you find.

After the massage, make sure to properly dry the feet in entirety. You can now slip into some comfy cotton socks, your favorite slippers, or maybe into your favorite guy or girl (this isn’t G-rated folks). You can thank me later…again…and again.

Ab Workouts Do Not Cause Stomach Fat Loss

It seems that everyone is always asking me what the best ab workouts are to get a flatter stomach. One of the biggest misconceptions is that almost everyone has varying degrees of excess body fat in the abdominal region, and is looking for the best way to burn off that extra stomach fat.

The problem is that most people are searching for the wrong exercises and workout types to lose stubborn belly fat. Most people are searching for some miraculous combination of abs exercises combined into the best ab workout ever invented that will burn off their belly fat faster than you can read this article.

Unfortunately, ab-specific workouts do NOT burn fat off of your belly. They only tone and strengthen the underlying abdominal muscles. What you really need to focus on is a full body strategic workout that will cause a much greater metabolic rate increase and fat-burning hormonal response from your training program as a whole.

In addition, simply doing cardiovascular workouts will not necessarily create the greatest metabolic response or hormonal response either. What you really need is a much more rounded training program that focuses on training the entire body with resistance training and multi-joint exercises in a higher intensity fashion.

This type of high intensity full body training combined with a healthy balanced diet full of nutrient density on a regular basis, is the real key secret to losing the extra stomach fat that covers up the abs. This is a much better plan of attack than just trying to do ab workouts and hoping that just doing a bunch of ab exercises like crunches and leg raises are going to make you lose your belly fat.

The amazing thing is that the majority of the population still believes that in order to get rid of belly fat, you need to do ab workouts every day using hundreds of reps. I see people giving this type of erroneous advice every day on all of the fitness forums. Please do not waste your time with this type of advice!

Now before you say "how can an abs expert not recommend abdominal exercises", realize that I do strongly believe that a certain amount of ab-specific exercises mixed into your routines are beneficial. Ab exercises will help you strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles and are useful for other purposes such as a healthy back and posture when done correctly. But the fact remains that ab exercises are not necessary for fat loss.

A much smarter full body resistance training routine and a clean healthy balanced diet are the most important factors. Many of the full body exercises also indirectly work the abdominals and core due to the stabilization required in some of the more difficult variations.

Quit Smoking

It is really a big difference between a smoker that has stopped smoking and a non smoker. The smoker is fighting the addiction and resists having a cigarette, while the non smoker can not think of anything worse than smoking. Perhaps you have met the non-smoker, really more of a fanatic that often express his or her feelings about smoking and smokers.

That negative attitude helps them to stay non-smokers.

Other smokers who quit smoking years ago can still say ’I would love to have a cigarette to this beer’ and if you are trying to quit smoking that is terrifying to hear. It actually means that they only quit smoking at a conscious level, that is they decided to stop, but unconsciously, smoking is still an attractive prospect for them.

Assassination by Vaccination

Vaccines and immunization shots for school were never my thing from the beginning. In fact, I didn’t know any kids who were cool with needles.
We usually went into the clinic kicking and screaming. Not only because it hurt to have a needle stabbed into our arms (or anywhere), but on some deeper level we knew that vaccinations were not healthy. Now that we are older, we are capable of making our own responsible decisions about our health and the health of our families. I found that vaccinations and immunizations actually do more to cause illness and disease than they do to prevent it.

Why do statistics report that vaccines are successful in wiping out disease?

To uphold the long-held illusion that they work. There is so much misinformation being spread about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. The bad reactions that occur soon after the shot are written off as standard vaccine reactions. What is left unexplained and unaddressed is the gradual, delayed deterioration of the immune system. Whether one child dies or 500 children die within a year of being vaccinated, it is treated as an isolated situation.

So why are dangerous vaccines still being administered?

This question has many answers but the most obvious is MONEY. The medical cartel’s mission is not to help people. It is meant to destruct.
An example is the HIV hoax being perpetrated on African countries and third world nations. AIDS and SARS represents job security for groups like the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), etc. These epidemics are guaranteed funding for these agencies.If there are no epidemics, then guess what….No CDC!…. No WHO! We have a system whose whole existence depends on the discovery of new, threatening epidemics.

Every year they roll out a new one. It was West Nile Virus a few years ago…then SARS…and now, soon to be released...Bird flu. If the medical cartel is going to be overthrown it needs to happen NOW, while we still have the freedom to accept or reject medicine. Oppressive legislation such as Codex Alimentarius aims to take away that freedom. Don’t let ‘em fool you!

The vaccination issue needs to be thoroughly considered. Don’t be coerced and harassed into vaccinating your child. You will meet resistance with programmed school officials who make you feel like a criminal for not allowing your child to be vaccinated. They will call you a bad parent. If you are well-informed you can buck the system. But only you can make that decision. The cartel is banking on you succumbing to fear and pressure. Every state has exemptions that can be declared based on religious and/or philosophical views. The fight has to start somewhere. You can fight better on your feet, than you can on your back. In other words, don’t wait until you’re down or backed into a corner to start taking action… that just might be too late.

Reduce Cholesterol Levels Without Drugs

Cardiovascular disease is thought to be our Number 1 killer, as it is estimated that just less than 1,000,000 Americans die from cardiovascular related illnesses each year.

Reducing cholesterol in particular LDL, the "bad cholesterol" (which creates plaque in our arteries that can then block blood flow to the heart and the brain) - can significantly aid your cardiovascular functioning.

The causes of elevated levels of cholesterol are eating too many animal products, especially red meat & dairy products, and ones liver itself producing an excessive amount of cholesterol.

So how can one go about reducing cholesterol safely?

Non-dietary elements can have an influence. Lets look at these first. These include making sure you get out in the sun everyday and maintaining a regular regime of exercise of at least one half hour each day, such as swimming, bicycle riding or walking, to aid in strengthening your cardiovascular systemas a whole. Also, you should try to lose any excess pounds that you are carrying around on your body. Even losing 10 pounds can result in a definite lowering of your cholesterol. As well, of course, alcohol consumption and smoking should be eliminated or kept to a minimum. With regards to alcohol, that means one drink per day for women, two for men.

More important perhaps is focusing on your diet. First some basic advice. Try to drink a minimum of 6 glasses of water each day. Limit the amount of animal and dairy foods you eat to no more than 10% of your daily calories. Try to eat lean meat and skim milk. Some types of fish, including cod, tuna and halibut, contain significantly less cholesterol than red meat. Other fish products such as salmon and mackerel contain high levels of beneficial acids that can aid your cardiovascular health. Try to eat more foods rich in dietary fiber, as well as vegetables and fresh fruits and avoid fried foods and hydrogenated oils.
